Navigating the Challenges of International Student Life in Australia
Studying abroad is an incredible opportunity, yet many international students in Australia face significant hurdles that can impact their well-being. From navigating culture shock and language barriers to managing the pressure of deadlines and financial stress, the journey can often feel isolating. We recognise that finding accessible mental health support is a major challenge, especially when university services have long waitlists and private sessions are often too expensive. Whether you are dealing with homesickness, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with the complexities of living away from home, you deserve professional support that understands your unique situation.

A: That’s okay! There’s no rush to share everything in your first session. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, and trust will build over time.
Q: Is therapy confidential?
A: Yes. Everything we discuss in our sessions is confidential, except in rare situations where I’m legally required to break confidentiality (e.g., if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others).
Q: How much does a session cost?
A: Please visit the Appointment page for session costs.
Q: Do you accept Private Health Insurance?
A: Our fees structure is comparable to many psychologists’ fees after insurance rebate. We are working on establishing the private health insurance rebate to better service the community, and in the meantime, we are doing our best to keep the fees low.
